Fall Colors Weekend at Starved Rock

Have you ever wondered how or why leaves change color? On Saturday, October 20 and Sunday, October 21, join the Starved Rock guides as they hike to overlooks and canyons throughout Starved Rock State Park to enjoy the amazing colors of fall. Learn basic tree identification, how leaves change color, and all about the history and geology of Starved Rock!

Free guided hike to see the spectacular colors of Fall. Hikes leave the State Park’s Visitor Center at 9:30am, 10am, 11am and 1pm.  Hikes will last approximately 1-2 hours and cover 1-2 miles.  Visit the event's Facebook page.
