IVCH prenatal classes begin

Next Series of IVCH Prenatal Classes Starts September 5
            The next series of childbirth classes at Illinois Valley Community Hospital gets underway at 6 p.m. Wednesday, September 5, in the meeting room inside hospital’s office building at 1305 6^th Street in Peru, just east of the emergency department entrance.
            Additional sessions are set for the next three Wednesdays, September 12, 19 and 26.
            Taught by IVCH obstetrics unit nurses, the first two classes focus on labor and delivery.  The week three class is about breastfeeding and the week four class covers newborn care, including infant CPR and car seat safety.
