Survival Workshop Skills 1

So you want to be a survivalist? This hands-on, experiential class will teach you the survival skills natives used to live in the wild. Learn awareness techniques to blend and flow with your environment. See how to read tracks in difficult soils and follow trails others simply cannot see! Discover how to make rope from natural materials. Try making a fire by the native bow drill friction method. Understand how to make a teepee fire structure and how to find natural tinder. Experience firsthand the wilderness skills of awareness, tracking, and survival in beautiful Starved Rock State Park. All classes are held outdoors and require a knife; you may also want to bring note-taking materials.  Class limited to 10 students, must be 18 years of age or older.  Lunch is provided.  For more information or to reserve your spot call: 815-220-7386.
