Survival Workshop Skills 2

Want to improve your survival skills? Learn advanced techniques natives used to be comfortable living in the wilderness. Discover tracking techniques that show why people get lost in the woods as well as learning how to lost-proof yourself. See how to read above-ground sign to follow trails. Practice primitive throwing stick hunting skills, make a figure-4 deadfall trap, and see how a rolling snare works. Understand how to naturally find, filter, and purify water in the wild, as well as how to make a coal-burnt bowl and utensils. Learn how to make fire by friction with the hand drill method. Experience firsthand the wilderness skills of awareness, tracking, and survival in beautiful Starved Rock State Park. All classes are held outdoors and require a knife; you may also want to bring note-taking materials.
